Using URLBit
By using URLBit, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You may use it for lawful personal or business link sharing. You are responsible for the destinations you submit and for keeping your Google account secure.
Acceptable use
Do not create links for phishing, malware, spam or illegal activity. Do not bypass access controls or rate limits, interfere with the service, or misuse another person's data. URLBit may restrict access or disable links for abuse. A shortened URL does not certify a safe destination. URLBit uses Cloudflare's malware/phishing domain filter and blocks IP-address URLs and private or reserved destinations. Safety checks apply before creation, destination changes, reactivation and redirects, with results cached for at most 60 seconds. If a check cannot complete, creation or redirection stops until a successful retry. The filter does not scan page contents, downloads or subsequent redirects; harmful pages on allowed domains and newly emerging threats may not be detected.
Accounts and ownership
Sign-in uses Google. Sign in before creating links to associate them with your account. Anonymous links are not automatically assigned to an account after signup. Administrators can manage account access and roles; a Premium subscription does not grant administrator privileges or shared team access.
Free and Premium
Free accounts can create 100 links per UTC calendar month, one URL per submission. Archived links still count toward that month's creation allowance. Premium is listed at $9.99/month and adds unlimited monthly creation plus batches of up to 50 URLs. Request rate limits apply to both plans.
Both plans include custom names, recorded-click analytics, CSV exports, QR downloads and individual link-management tools. Premium does not currently include a distinct priority-support service, team workspace, geographic analytics or unique-visitor tracking. See Pricing for the current features.
Billing and cancellation
Live Premium subscriptions cost $9.99 USD per month. By confirming a live subscription in Stripe Checkout, you authorize the initial payment and monthly renewal payments until cancellation. Test-mode transactions, when explicitly labelled, do not make real charges or grant live paid access. Plan access is based on server-verified subscription and payment state. A return URL or payment-screen message alone does not grant Premium.
Use Cancel renewal on the Subscription page to stop renewal at the end of the current period. Eligible paid-period access continues until that period ends. When Premium ends, Free limits apply to future link creation; existing Active links are not automatically expired. The amount and recurring billing terms are shown before confirming a live payment.
Link availability and retention
The current app has no automatic age-based or inactivity-based link expiry. Active links rely on the service, domain configuration and destination remaining available. This does not guarantee permanent hosting, uninterrupted availability or a particular uptime level.
Pausing or archiving a link stops redirects and retains its record. Restoring a link makes it active again. Renaming preserves analytics but stops the old short URL and its QR codes. Permanent deletion removes link details and recorded click history and cannot be undone. Retired codes remain reserved, with minimal creation-count records retained; deletion does not refund a monthly creation allowance. Removing account access retains records and does not automatically pause public links. Contact us for broader data-deletion requests.
Links use the configured urlbit.io address and require that domain to route to the deployed app. Preview is a testing environment; temporary sandbox addresses may expire or change. A failed Preview or payment-return URL does not by itself establish loss of stored data or payment failure.
Analytics and third-party destinations
Analytics report recorded redirect events, not unique people. Recording can fail, and repeat visits or bots can be counted. No guarantee is made that every visit is recorded. Destination websites operate independently and may change, become unavailable or apply their own terms and privacy policies.
Service changes and liability
The service is provided as is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by applicable law, URLBit is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from service use. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update the service and these terms; changes will be posted here. Stop using the service if you do not accept updated terms.
